LiesFromTheLeft.Com Lie: John Kerry It is often said that history repeats itself. If this is true, I believe that the fate of John Kerry has already been sealed, and that he might as well stop his campaigning now. Save the millions, save all the hard work of several thousand volunteers, and just quit now - the race has already been won, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said so. In his book, Strength to Love, Dr. King said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." The time we now live in is definitely a time of challenge and controversy, and John Kerry does not measure up. Take the war in Iraq or the War on Terrorism for example. John Kerry voted for the war in Iraq, then voted against funding it. John Kerry then proceeded to speak out against the war in Iraq, and the Presidents handling of it. Why would a Senator of the United States of America vote to send our troops to war, and then vote against funding those troops and speak out against the commander in Chief? John Kerry said he does so because he didn't think President Bush was going to, "f*ck [the war] up" so much. I believe (along with most of the country), however, that it is only because John Kerry wants to be elected president. So he is playing politics with war, and people are dying. If John Kerry wanted to vote against the war in Iraq, fine. But he didn't. He gave the highest level of support a U.S. Senator can give a war - a vote for it - and then turned around and started speaking against it. That is a disgrace, and it is a lie. [More to come]
